No more than four hours' drive from Johannesburg, the River House is perched on the banks of The Marico River in Madikwe Game Reserve, one of the largest in Africa. Even as you approach, you’ll appreciate just how special this is. Three spacious double bedrooms with every modern comfort mean the House can accommodate 6 adults and 4 children in style.

With super-kingsized beds, warming fires and large private decks, all three double-bedrooms are the perfect place to start and end the day. The en-suite bathrooms are beautifully appointed, with indoor and outdoor showers and tubs that have bush views. Importantly, children of every age are well-catered for. There’s a separate family room/study with bunk beds which has a host of electronic goodies to keep them entertained, including TVs, games consoles, Wi-Fi enabled PCs and DVDs, plus a small library of contemporary books.
