DETAILED DESCRIPTION

With a sixth sense for guest requests, the Hotel Amigo team prides itself on its professional, personable service. Whether you’re sampling the finest Mediterranean flavors in the award-winning Restaurante Bocconi or pushing for a PB in the high tech gym, they’ll leave you wanting for nothing.

This elegant, beautifully furnished hotel is set in a 500-year old building, which following a complete renovation when it became part of the Rocco Forte collection, now includes the latest amenities. As well as over 150 luxury guest rooms, it includes a grand ballroom, plus six superbly equipped meeting rooms.

The setting is rather special, too. Just around the corner from the picturesque Grand Place, one of the world’s most beautiful squares, the hotel is minutes from the European Parliament, the antique and boutique districts, and the iconic Manneken Pis statue. Serious sightseeing couldn’t be simpler.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT THE HOTEL

  1. The history. Over 500 years old, the building was converted into a hotel just in time to host royals, celebrities and VIPs for the 1958 World Exposition. Check out the original pavement - dating from 1620 – which is lovingly preserved in the lobby.
  2. Jazz at the Bar Amigo. Served up every Friday and Saturday night, along with vintage cocktails.
  3. The Families R Forte program. This welcomes junior guests with open arms – plus everything from a squirrel teddy at turndown to kids’ check-in cards, bespoke itineraries created by the  Concierge team and interactive in-room entertainment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

ROOMS & SUITES

Total number of rooms: 154
Total number of suites: 19
Number of floors: 6

When the Amigo became part of Rocco Forte in 2000, it was completely restored to its former glory. All the rooms now have a cool, understated style.  Designed by Olga Polizzi, sister of Sir Rocco Forte and designer for the Rocco Forte chain, each room and suite has its own unique charm. They draw on everything from Spanish metalwork, African fabrics, Magritte reproductions and Tintin memorabilia to showcase the mix of cultures that have colored this northern European city. What’s more each room is rich in contemporary comforts. There is complimentary Wi-Fi, multi-channel flat screen TVs, spacious Carrara marble bathrooms and luxurious Heeley toiletries throughout. Whether you opt for a ‘Classic Room’ or stretch to the ‘Armand Blaton Suite’, you’ll be in heaven.
